A full update cuz I'm bad with blogs
So I'm a bad person. This whole blog thing has not been on the top of my priorities over the last month, but I will do my best to cover the overwhelming amount of stuff that has occurred. First, I have managed not to get mugged yet( knock on wood/pavement) although one night it did get close. I was walking home one night and decided that it wasn't too late to walk by the projects and got off the train a stop early because its quicker. Two guys were walking the other way and each split up on a side of the street to go around a bunch of water. I didn't think anything about it until when they walked by me and one of them tried to reach into my pocket. He didn't get anything and I didn't try to do anything about it because he had a friend. He even tried to taunt me after I walked by. I gave him a nasty look and kept walking. That's as bad as it has gotten so far. I also got called a cracker by some drunk dude sitting on his stoop when I was walking home one night. That was definitely a new one. I'm pretty much the only white kid on my street so I guess i was bound to get it some time. Works been good. I work in a building in Brooklyn with a view f Manhattan, the Manhattan Bridge and the Brooklyn bridge. We go down and eat lunch between the bridges during lunch and Ive been playing basketball with all my coworkers after work. Im slowy getting a grip on the city and where to go and what to do. I haven't played anywhere yet but its been hectic trying to get settled in. The music search should be in full swing come october. I've been to central park a couple times and got to see strawberry fields and where john lennon go shot. I went to Coney Island and got that whole experience drinking beers on the polluted nyc beach. I also took the time and walked around ground zero. That was pretty heavy. Its amazing how big of a hole there is down there. They are just starting to build the new memorial too.
That will have to do for now. I'll keep rambling when I think of more good stuff.
With love,
Philip M

Kosciuszko Bound
And so the epic tale of my attempt to stay alive in the city begins. So far everything has gone better than I could have ever asked for. I went down with one of my roommates Brian and we looked at a bunch of places, no of which we were completely pleased with. Last week, I went down with my other roommate Alex and we were astounded at how nice the first place we looked at was. We went down and signed the lease the day after we looked at it. I'm moving into a section of Brooklyn called Bedford Stuyvesant which is just below Williamsburg. Its on Kosciuszko Street and we're about a block and a half from the JMZ train. The apartment is brand new, three bedrooms, roof access, and we have great landlords. If you're in town gimme a call and you are more than welcome to come and kick it.
